UPL - Data Scientist (Karnataka, India)

UPL Limited, a global leader in sustainable agriculture products, is seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join their team in Karnataka. This role involves developing advanced statistical models, deriving actionable insights, and supporting strategic organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement complex statistical analyses for data processing and model building.
• Lead small teams of associate data scientists in use case development and delivery.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Drive ideation, re-iteration, and fine-tuning of models to ensure optimized solutions.
• Contribute to knowledge building by researching best practices and mentoring junior team members.

Required Education and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Operations Research, Economics, or related fields.
• At least 2 years of relevant analytics experience, with expertise in developing advanced statistical and machine learning models.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala.
• Experience working with large database systems is preferred.
