Uber - Data Scientist II (Hyderabad, Telangana, India)

Uber is looking for a skilled and innovative Data Scientist II to join their team in Hyderabad. This role involves fraud tracking, experimentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve Uber's products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Track and mitigate fraud through rule deployments.
• Write efficient and complex SQL code.
• Conduct experimentation, A/B testing, and statistical modeling.
• Handle and visualize large datasets, exploring and utilizing raw data feeds.
• Collaborate with Operations, Product, and Engineering teams to launch impactful new products.

Basic Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in a data-focused role (e.g., product analytics, data science).
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Economics, Statistics, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python or statistical languages like SQL, SAS, or R.
• Experience with product/tech companies serving millions of users across multiple platforms and countries.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Mastery in SQL and expertise in Python.
• Strong understanding of statistics.
• Experience in risk management within a product/tech company.
