Job Description
PayPal is hiring a Data Scientist 1 for its Global Resolutions and Protections (GRIT) team. The role involves using data analytics and AI-driven insights to optimize loss prevention, risk management, and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends.
- Develop data-driven solutions to enhance customer experience and reduce losses.
- Work with business, operations, and product teams on data-driven decision-making.
- Design dashboards and reports using SQL, Python, Tableau, and QlikView.
- Automate workflows and improve data integrity.
- Use statistical modeling and machine learning techniques to identify risks and optimize processes.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data science.
- Expertise in SQL, Python, SAS, Teradata, QlikView, Tableau.
- Strong problem-solving and data visualization skills.
- Ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
- Background in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Economics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in risk analytics, financial services, or e-commerce.
- Strong understanding of machine learning, AI, and statistical modeling.
- Excellent communication and storytelling abilities.
