Gojek, Southeast Asia’s leading on-demand platform, seeks a Data Scientist to tackle business challenges using data science and machine learning. This role focuses on developing and deploying models, generating actionable insights, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Problem-Solving: Translate business concerns into technical problems solvable by data science techniques.
• Model Deployment: Develop and deploy scalable machine learning models for production environments.
• Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights and measure the impact of models.
• Collaboration: Partner with product managers, engineers, and business teams to refine systems and meet evolving needs.
• Experimentation: Design and conduct experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of machine learning solutions.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, or a related field.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in data science or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools; strong understanding of machine learning and statistical fundamentals.
• Soft Skills: Ability to formulate business problems as data science solutions and document technical details clearly.

Preferred Experience:

• Hands-on experience taking data science models from development to production.
• Competence in independent data analysis, including hypothesis testing and statistical analysis of experiments.
