LSEG is seeking an entry-level Data Scientist to join the Emerging Tech Standard Delivery Team. The role involves handling data processing, developing automated solutions, and translating business needs into actionable requirements. The ideal candidate should have strong proficiency in Python and experience in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data analysis. You will collaborate with various teams to deliver innovative analytics solutions that enhance business value.Key Responsibilities:Data handling, processing, and programming to support new capabilities.Translate business needs into solution requirements and write functional specifications.Develop automated solutions for data sourcing/loading and analyze trends.Build extraction solutions from various document formats and run quantitative models.Generate machine learning solutions for core processes and collaborate with business groups.Create proofs of concept, visualizations, and pipeline tools for product development.Technical Skills Required:Proficiency in Python and experience with AI/ML technologies.Experience in statistical modeling using machine learning and deep learning algorithms.Knowledge of libraries like Scikit-learn, NumPy, and Pandas.Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).Understanding of HTML, CSS, web scraping, SQL, and API architecture.Ability to handle large data sets and strong communication skills.Qualifications:Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.Data Science certification or equivalent experience.
